Landscape Designer
Meet Doug, a highly experienced landscape designer and construction specialist. Doug kindly shares his 40-plus years of expertise in creating stunning outdoor spaces with the Native team. He is known for his deep knowledge of woody plants and native landscapes, Doug combines artistry with technical skill to design and build timeless, sustainable landscapes.
As a trusted partner at Native Landscapes & Gardens, he brings passion, precision, and a commitment to excellence to every project. Doug has been associated with many award-winning projects throughout his career. He most recently served as the landscape contractor for a project recognized by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) in 2023.
This project, located in Northeast Ohio, was honored for its integration of art and ecology, featuring collaborations with renowned artists and a focus on preserving the site’s agrarian legacy. Outside of designing and building beautiful native landscapes, Doug enjoys visiting his children, bringing his Golden Retriever Chase to the office, and connecting to the calm that life brings when he’s able to sneak away and go fishing at his lake house.
